Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Prayers for our Community: Transformation Toward God's Peace in Our Communities~ In Seek God for the City this week, we are crying out to the Lord for transformation in our cities! God intends to bring forth a display of His kingdom in every people and place. When Jesus changes many people all at the same time, their society begins to be changed so greatly that we have come to call it transformation. This week we'll pray that God will bring about a significant transformation in our community! With changed lives and communities comes a tangible demonstration of peace that God brings as a fruit of the Spirit of Christ.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: South Haven Church of the Nazarene
We thank God for South Haven Church of the Nazarene. Please pray for God's blessing & leading for this church. We thank God for their senior pastor, O'Neal Stover, and the believers there. May they be a bright light, shining for Christ in this community!

3. School of the Week: Portage Christian School
Please pray for Portage Christian School. Their principal is resigning at the end of this year. Please pray for them as they search for a new administrator. Thank God for the teachers & staff who serve our community daily. Pray for guidance and wisdom for each teacher and staff member. Pray for the students to desire to learn and grow, fulfilling their God-given destiny. Pray that all teachers, students and staff, would know and follow Christ as their Savior and Lord.

4. Community Ministry Needs:
Pastor Dave McGrath: Please pray for Pastor Dave, who pastors Family Bible Church, as he recovers from brain surgery. He is home and doing well. Continue to pray for God's glory to be seen through this! For specific ways to pray, check out his blog at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/davidmcgrath

5. Watchword for the week from Scripture: For the message about the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

Keep praying for more to begin and grow in their relationship with Christ! Keep sending us your reports of salvation. God is moving!13 is the number of known salvations reported so far for 2009 in our community. We praise God for each one who has begun their walk of faith in Christ! Pray that they would be rooted and grounded in the faith. Let's plunder hell and populate heaven!

Volunteers Needed for Flood Relief Efforts
For over 17,000 families in Northwest Indiana, the devastating effects of the September 2008 floods continue to be the everyday reality with which they live. Lakeshore Area Regional Recovery of Indiana, better known as LARRI, is here to assist by restoring homes to a safe, sanitary and secure standard.
