Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1.Pray for the poor in our Area. Pray that God would meet the spiritual and physical needs of the poor in our
community with dignity and hope. Pray for ministries that are doing this: Portage Food Pantry, Gabriels Horn, St. Vincent de Paul, First Contact, Angel Food. Pray for any cycles of oppression to be broken. Pray for employment that would meet their needs. Thank God for how He has provided for them and for your family as well. (I John 3:17)

Please pray for God’s blessing & leading for theChurch of God of Prophecy. Thank God for their pastor, Dannie Tackett. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. They are praising God for a great week of Vacation Bible School. We praise God for the young lives they were able to touch for Christ. Praise God for placing them in our community. May they be a light for Christ in this community!
3. Pray for thoseserving in short-term missions from our community. (If you know of others, just let us know and we can add them)Stephanie Morris: June 2-August 2, Swaziland. Stephanie is requesting prayer for continued unity in her team. Sarah Kidd: summer missions to
Thailand Josiah Addison, Mariam Vale, Marah Vale, Leah Dujmovich, and Mary O’Hara: Summer missionaries with Child Evangelism Fellowship. They are available to teach Backyard Bible Clubs. To schedule a club, call 465-0201.
4. Pray for HOPE’s Kids Summer Spectacular: Please pray as we begin this summer outreach. Pray for our teachers this week, Adair Engel, as well as our other leaders. 5. Pray for Area VBS: Please pray for all the vacation Bible schools in our area. This week, Grace Baptist has their VBS. Still to come this month are Portage Christian Fellowship and the Bridge VBS. Please pray for each as they prepare. May they be effective witnesses for Christ. Our kids are precious to God. May they come to know Him as their Savior and Lord.
6. Pray for ShareFest: Pray for the identification of the partnering churches & community projects. ShareFest will be on October 11, but the planning starts now. Believe with us for God to raise up the leadership team for all 4 communities: Valpo, Portage, Chesterton & Kouts. Pray for increased unity throughout the churches of

Up 33 this week!
Salvations were reported through Campus Life JV camp and ministry at Porter County JDC. Keep sending us your reports of salvation. God is moving! 154 is the number of known salvations reported so far for2008 in our community. We praise God for each one who has begun their walk of faith in Christ! Pray that they would be rooted and grounded in the faith. Let’s plunder hell and populate heaven!

Thank you for the post. I have been praying and our family has found new ways to have Family Worship, which is something I have been wanting but never did. For instance, for my young family, I found a book called "This Bible Talks!" by Pamela Fischer. It is a beautiful book I would like to share because it has been so special for use.
