Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Seek God for our City: Seeking His Life to Revive the Church This week we are seeking God to revive the Church. As the old hymn sang we now cry: "Revive us again, fill each heart with Thy love, may our souls be rekindled with fire from above! Fill us with Your life, oh Lord. May we be revived and fulfill the call He has for each of us as individuals, families, churches, and communities. In our lives, be glorified, O Lord!

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Northwood Baptist Church
This week we are praying for Northwood Baptist Church. We thank God for this church and their pastor, Cornell Smith. Pray they would be strong in the Word and be a light to their community.

3. School of the Week: Myers Elementary School, Mr. Jeff King (Principal)

Pastors battling health issues:
Pastor Dannie Tackett, Church of God of Prophecy Update: Pastor Dannie does thank us for prayers for his back issues. He is still getting treatment and it looks like he will have surgery coming up. He's thankful to the Lord for enabling him to still preach each Sunday, but the pain is increasing and he appreciates your continued prayers.

Pastor Pat Persuhn, Redeemed Christian Center Update: Pastor Pat is still experiencing pain. Her cancer count is low. She was in the hospital having some tests at the end of last week. While there, God opened doors of ministry for Pastor Dutch with other patients and their families. 7 people received Christ at the hospital last weekend! PRAISE GOD!

Other Needs:
Haiti: Pray for Kids Alive as they are working in Haiti & Dominican Republic to meet needs from the earthquake in Haiti.

Prison Ministry: Pray for Pastor James & Erika Portalatin as they lead revival meetings at Westville Correctional Center on March 5 & 6.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Prayer for our Community: President's Day Since today is President's Day, let's pray for our President Barack Obama. We are commanded to pray for those in authority over us that "we might lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence." (1 Tim 2:2) Pray that our president would walk in the wisdom and counsel of God. That he would surround himself with Godly counselors. That he would grow closer to the Lord. Pray for his family that they would walk after the Lord and be in peace. Lord, grant him wisdom for the tasks before him this week.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Living Word Sanctuary
This week we are praying for Living Word Sanctuary. We thank God for their pastor, Dorris Dunlap, and for this body of believers. Praise God for their passion for prayer and revival. Pray they would continue to be a light to their community.

Up 1 from last week! A young man began relationship with Christ at a local church!
I heard report this past week of a church in Lake County where 80 people were baptized on 2/7 during their morning services!!! This church of 1200 was amazed at what the Lord did as the Holy Spirit moved on people to respond to the invitation.
Over 3/4 of these baptisms were spontaneous after the preaching of the word! Go God! 1. Prayer for our Community:Unity Christ's prayer for us was that we would be one. Let's agree with Him! Lord, we ask that the believers in Northwest Indiana would be one. May we be united in the Spirit for Your kingdom sake. May the world see the love we have for one another and be drawn to Jesus. May we walk in unity, blessing and not cursing each other. May we partner together for the Kingdom and see the kingdom expanded. May we rejoice with each other, cry with each other, praise God with each other. May we honor one another as we see Christ in all. May we all bring glory to the Father!

This week we are praying for Portage Missionary Baptist Church. We thank God for their pastor, Jeff Scheffee, and for this body of believers. Praise God for their faithfulness to Him and to His word. Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Prayer for our Community: Military This week, let's thank God for our military serving overseas. Let's pray for God's protection for them. Thank God for the veterans who have served our nation. Pray for the families of those serving overseas. Pray Ps. 91 for our troops!

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: The Women's Center
This week we are praying for The Women's Center. They are located in Valpo, as well as other areas in Northwest Indiana. They provide pregnancy testing, counseling, alternatives to abortion, and post-abortion counseling. Praise God for the many lives they have saved from abortion. Pray for their leadership team. May they know clearly God's leading and grace in their lives. May they offer Christ's compassion and hope to all who seek assistance. Thank God for placing this ministry in our community.

HOPE for Portage, A House of Prayerful Expectation

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:

1. Prayer Request from our Community: Elderly People: Pray that God's strength and peace will be poured out on everyone who is advanced in years. Pray that they would continue to grow closer to the Lord. Pray that loneliness would be banished in lasting friendships and family bonds. Pray for their physical bodies. May their immunity be kept strong during this flu season. May those who have physical ailments find comfort in the Lord and His body as well as receiving the proper medical treatment from caring professionals. Pray that their latter years will be significant, relecting the glory of God.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Portage Community Bible Church
This week we are praying for Portage Community Bible Church. We thank God for this body of believers. Pray for wisdom for their Pastor Jim Thompson. Thank God for their outreach through Child Evangelism Fellowship in the local elementary schools. This fall they have seen 4 students come to know Christ. Pray for continued open hearts to receive the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:

1. Prayer for our Community: Gang Members Pray that God will satisfy their deep desires for signifcance and belonging. May God break spiritual and social powers holding them bound. Pray for caring Christians to embrace them in the authentic love of God's family. Pray for blessing on the neighborhoods they claim. "I sought the LORD and He answered me, He delivered me from all my fears...The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and He delivers them." Ps 34:4,7

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: House of Prayer Church
This week we are praying for House of Prayer Church. We thank God for bringing them to Portage! They have a heart to reach out and are serving with a soup kitchen in Gary. Let's pray for their continued outreach and growth! Pray that they might see many come to know Christ! May they continue to show Christ's love to all they encounter. Pray for their pastor, Bishop Dave Matthews. May they continue as a shining light for the Gospel!

ShareFest: This multi-church outreach is less than 1 month away: Saturday October 10th. Please pray for the churches to walk in amazing unity and love as a witness to our region of our Savior's great love. Many projects are done outside, so please be praying for good weather too. (more info below)

Bosnia Prayer Team: September 25-October 4, Pray for this team of 8 from Liberty Bible Church. They will be prayerwalking in Sarajevo and encouraging the local churches there. Team Members: Randy & Julie Hayden, Mark & Sue, Christi, Annie, Meredith & Delaney

1. Prayers for our Community: Unity of the Body As we begin our 10 Days of Prayer Towards a Greater Pentecost and Global Day of Prayer, let's echo Jesus' prayer in John 17 that we all may be one!!! May the Body of Jesus Christ arise as one and reach this community! May we bring honor to His name as we go forward in love and respect, honoring one another for the sake of the gospel. Dream in prayer about what God could do in our community as we are unified and then pray for it to happen.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Portage Christian Church
This week you're praying for Portage Christian Church. Thank God for placing them in this community. Pray for their pastor, Jesse Stoner. May they fulfill the call of God for their congregation. May the be an effective witness for Jesus Christ in this community and beyond.

Recently a church was "tagged" with graffiti. They began praying for individuals who did this. Both participants have begun attending ministry programs at the church. This week you're praying for The Salvation Army. They are doing an amazing work of reaching out with the love of Christ while meeting the physical needs of individuals. While most known for their kettle campaign at Christmas and the way they respond to disasters around the world, they also are a local church, have a food pantry for the needy, do Angel Tree at Christmas, and offer many programs that benefit the families of Porter County. Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Prayers for our Community: Musicians, Worship leaders and Ministers of Music~ This week we are praying for the musicians in our churches! May they play skillfully on their instruments. May they have hearts of worship, overflowing in thanksgiving to God. May the worship teams and choirs lead as one. May the Lord anoint the musicians in our community. May God grant them great creativity in the worship planning and songwriting. May all they do be for an audience of One and may He be glorified through them.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Freedom Voices/HOPE for Portage
This week you're praying for us: Freedom Voices. Thank you for your prayers. Pray for me, Julie Hayden, as I lead this ministry as well as all those that are a part. This is a season of transitions for us. Please pray that we might be faithful in all that the Lord is leading and that we would clearly see God's hand, guiding our steps. We do thank God for all the ways He is moving in our city: salvations, greater unity, people growing in Christ. May His light be seen in every corner of our community!

1. Prayers for our Community: Easter Week~ As we enter into Holy Week, pray for the many who will be coming into our churches that do not regularly attend. Please be praying for those visitors that they might see their need of Christ and begin a personal relationship with Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to soften their hearts and draw them. May Resurrection Sunday be the start of a new relationship in their lives. Pray for your neighbors and co-workers this week. Is there anyone you need to invite to join you Easter Sunday?

1. Prayers for our Community: Reconciliation of Every People~ In Seek God for the City this week, we are praying for the reconciliation of every people group on the planet! This week please pray that God will bring a measure of healing to relationships. Pray that God will move dramatically and patiently to heal the racism and prejudice we see in our own cities, as well as the wars that burn in places devastated by interracial strife.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Portage Resale Shop
We thank God for Portage Resale Shop. They are continually serving our community. They serve through offering great items at reasonable prices. And then they serve by donating their proceeds to local ministries. And they also offer many types of assistance to those with various needs. You can't get better than that!!! Praise God for Ben & Brandon & the many volunteers who serve there. Please pray for God's blessing & leading for this outreach. May Christ's love be felt by all who enter there! They truly are Christ's hands and feet to our community!

3. School of the Week: Nativity Elementary School

Pastor Dave McGrath: We are praising God that Pastor Dave was able to return to Family Bible yesterday (3/29) for the first time since his brain surgery. With his wife at his side, he shared how God had been so faithful to him during this time! He plans on preaching next Sunday. Praise God for what He has done and continue to pray for Pastor Dave as he recovers. To God be the Glory!

For over 17,000 families in Northwest Indiana, the devastating effects of the September
2008 floods continue to be the everyday reality with which they live. Lakeshore Area Regional
Recovery of Indiana, better known as LARRI, is here to assist by restoring homes to a safe,
sanitary and secure standard. Volunteers of all skill levels are needed to help restore homes to a
livable condition. For information about volunteering with LARRI contact Volunteer Coordinator,

1. Prayers for our Community: Transformation Toward God's Peace in Our Communities~ In Seek God for the City this week, we are crying out to the Lord for transformation in our cities! God intends to bring forth a display of His kingdom in every people and place. When Jesus changes many people all at the same time, their society begins to be changed so greatly that we have come to call it transformation. This week we'll pray that God will bring about a significant transformation in our community! With changed lives and communities comes a tangible demonstration of peace that God brings as a fruit of the Spirit of Christ.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Prayers for our Community:
Revival in the Church ~ In Seek God for the City this week, we are crying out to the Lord to revive His church, setting us ablaze with the fire of His Spirit! Please pray that God would help each one of us to turn from sin and to seek renewed relationship with Christ, so that together, God's people would experience His power and life.

Unemployed~ Please lift up all who are unemployed in our community. The unemployment numbers for Northwest Indiana are rising to 2nd highest year-to-year increase in the nation. And each number is a person! They have very real physical needs. Thank the Lord for how He has provided and continue to pray for work for all those needing employment. Also, pray also for those who have had their hours cut or are underemployed.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Prayers for our Community:
Unemployed~ Please lift up all who are unemployed in our community. The unemployment numbers for Northwest Indiana are rising to 2nd highest year-to-year increase in the nation. And each number is a person! They have very real physical needs. Thank the Lord for how He has provided and continue to pray for work for all those needing employment. Also, pray also for those who have had their hours cut or are underemployed.

Police~ Pray for our local law enforcement officers. Pray for their safety! Pray for wisdom for them to do their positions with excellence. Pray for our police chief, Mark Becker, and all the dedicated men and women he leads. Pray for their families who sacrifice so much. Pray for their salvation. May they walk in the peace of Christ, led by His Spirit. Thank God for them and their call to this community!

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Campus Life Portage
We thank God for Campus Life and their impact in Portage High School and middle schools. Please pray for God's blessing & leading for this outreach. We thank God for their high school director, Gail Morris, and middle school leader, Jaymee Penrose, as well as their staff of volunteers. May their outreach and effectiveness grow in our community. May students be drawn to these opportunities to hear about Christ and grow in relationship with Him. May many come to know Christ as they faithfully love and disciple. 1. Prayers for our Community: Pastors Please lift up all the pastors in our community. Recently, we learned of 3 pastors who are facing major health issues/surgeries at this time. Pray for the Lord's protection for your pastor. As you pass churches in our community, lift up their pastors! Pray Psalm 91 for the pastors of our community! This is a critical time to be praying for all those in authority.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: New Hope Church of God
We thank God for New Hope Church of God. Please pray for God's blessing & leading for this church. We thank God for their senior pastor, Charles Drake, as well as their staff & this congregation of believers. May this church continue as a shining light for Christ in our community. Last year, they reached out to their community through the production of Heaven's Gates, Hell's Flames and saw many come to know the Lord. May God's word go forth from this church drawing many to the Savior!
3. School of the Week: Central Elementary School
Please pray for Central Elementary School. Principal is Ms. G. Lindsley. Thank God for the teachers & staff who serve our community daily. 6. Pray for the John Weller family: John & his wife, Joy, were one of the first missionaries we supported through HOPE. John & Joy have joined us in prayer for our community on many occasions! John went home to be with the Lord last week. Please pray for Joy, his 4 children and 8 grandchildren as they grieve their loss and celebrate his homegoing. John served the Lord through overseas missions for 40 years.

1. Prayers Preparing our Hearts for Christmas: Bethlehem. It was in Bethlehem that Christ was born as a man. Thank Him for His willingness to come in the form of a man to redeem us. Take time to consider His incarnation and rejoice in Him. Gal 4:4,5 But when the fulness of time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Lakeview Baptist Church
We thank God for Lakeview Baptist Church! Please pray for God's blessing & leading for this church. Thank God for their pastor, Ronnie Cox, as well as this congregation of believers. 1. Pray for the unborn. With the Annual Right to Life Banquet this week, let's pray for the unborn. Pray that these precious children will be acknowledged and honored by all. Pray for each of them to find sheltering homes. That the awful waste of their lives would cease. Pray that they would come to Christ at an early age. Pray for the parents of unborn babies, that God would turn their hearts toward their children. Pray for the many families seeking to adopt. May the birth parents choose adoption over abortion. May God strengthen and empower the ministries committed to defending life. Pray for those that have pursued abortion that they might experience Christ's love, healing and forgiveness.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for the elections in our region & nation: This is a pivotal election! Today's newspaper shows Indiana at a dead heat. Each vote is critical!!! We are making decisions that will affect our state and nation for decades. Please pray! Please vote! Please pray for God's will and His mercy to be poured out over our nation. Please pray for the body of Christ to walk in His righteousness, love, unity and grace no matter what our party affiliations. Pray for each candidate and their families. May they walk in righteousness and obedience to God's word. May they walk in truth and integrity. May God's kingdom come and His will be done in our nation!

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Central Baptist Church
We thank God for Central Baptist Church! Please pray for God's blessing & leading for this church. Thank God for their pastor, David Webb, the other pastors there, as well as this congregation of believers. Praise God for them! May they be a shining light for Christ in our community. May Christ's kingdom expand through His body in this region and beyond!

3. School of the Week: Aylesworth Elementary School
Please pray for Aylesworth Elementary School. Principal is Mary Tracy. Thank God for the teachers & staff who serve our community daily. Pray for safety of each one there. Pray for wisdom and insight as they minister to our children!

4. Praise & Pray for Upcoming Community Outreaches & Ministry Requests:
Child Evangelism Fellowship: CEF coordinator, Beth Harmon, is asking for prayers for favor and wisdom as she meets on Tuesday with a South Haven area principal about starting a Good News Club there. Please pray for more schools to open to CEF and the volunteers needed to run the programs. Children are coming to know Christ through these clubs! Oh, that all the elementary schools in this region would have Good News Clubs!!!! Currently, Jones Elementary is the only Portage school offering the program.

1. Pray for single people in our region: Pray that Christ will fill singles' hearts with His love. That they may taste the satisfaction which is found only in God. That friendships will bring ample fullness of relationship. For sexual purity and simplicity of lifestyle. For marvelous marriages for those who desire them. Pray for those single by divorce or death, that they would find healing and new hope for life ahead.

2. Continue to pray for the those effected by the flooding in this area. Please pray for those that have been effected by the flooding. Pray for strength for them as they clean up and deal with the aftermath. May the body of Christ arise with compassion and show the love of Christ. May volunteers arise to help those in need.

Fireproof: Update from Scott Jones, "Thanks again for your support of Fireproof. The release was an overwhelming success nation wide and in Porter County. The movie did so well locally that it will stay for a second week at Cinemark in Valpo." It also is at Portage 16 now.
ShareFest: ShareFest was Saturday, October 11. We praise God for all that He did throughout our county. In Portage we had over 300 volunteers. We exceeded our goal for the blood drive too!
Campus Life M: Thanks for your prayers for their kickoff. They had 106 middle school kids come last week!!! PRAISE GOD!

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for the news media in this area. Pray for people throughout the industries of broadcasst and print media to come to kno Jesus personally. Pray that attitudes of cynicism will be changed. Pray for those who love Christ to be strengthened in wisdom and favor. May we see more in their work that carries virtue and conveys kingdom values throughout our community. Pray for the editors of our papers that they would know what to include and what to leave out. Pray that they would do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God.

2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Portage United Pentecostal Church
We thank God for Portage United Pentecostal Church. Please pray for God's blessing & leading for them. Thank God for their senior pastor, James Fielder, as well as their other staff members. Praise God for the effective witness they are having in our community. May Christ's kingdom expand through His body in this region!

3. School of the Week: South Haven Elementary School
Please pray for South Haven Elementary school. Principal is Mr. Evans. Thank God for the turn around that has happened in this school over the past few years. Thank God for the teachers & staff who serve our community daily. Pray for safety of each one there. Pray for wisdom and insight as they minister to our children!

5. Praises from Short-Term Missions Trips:
Pastor Randy Forsythe reports on his recent trip to the Ukraine: "SLAVABOLGA (sla-va-BULL) That is Ukrainian for "Praise the Lord!" What a wonderful time I had in the Lord in Ukraine. Please thank everyone for their prayers. God's word was true in that the harvest was plentiful. There were 24 saved, 60 kids attended our VBS, we passed out over 100 bookbags at the orphanage, and we passed out over 100 food baskets for the needy. In addition, we met our objective and started a new church in the village of Valdarka (pop. 7000) with 30 at the first Sunday School. Please continue to pray for Pastor Andre and this new church in Valdarka, where there was no church."6. Praise God for 8 years for HOPE for Portage: We are praising God that Tuesday, Sept 9th, marks 8 years of ministry to the Portage community through HOPE for Portage. Please join with us in thanking God for what He has done as we have dared to believe that He would bring unity and revival to Northwest Indiana. We are seeing the beginnings and believing Him for more. We would appreciate your prayers as well as we continue on this journey! A special "thank you" to those who have stood and prayed with us over the last 8 years. God bless you!!!

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for the workers in this area. Praise God for the steelworkers agreement being reached without loss of work. We do thank God for the mill and union being able to come to agreement without a strike. As a major employer in this area, it would have effected so many families & businesses. Praise God for His provision of work in this area for so many. May each Christian worker be a light for Jesus Christ on their jobsite. May they serve well and bring honor to Christ. Pray for those who are without work right now. May God open doors for all who desire to work.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: SHAREFEST Porter County
Please pray for God's blessing & leading for ShareFest Porter County. Thank God for the county facilitator, Pastor Mike Sutton, as well as our city directors: Pastor Tony Yingst, Pastor Allen Wright, Pastor Jerry Kandel, and Jim Drader. Pray for each city team as they prepare. May the worksites be identified and projects clarified. In Portage we are praising God for 50% more churches involved this year! God is moving and drawing us together in unity for His glory. May Christ's fame be spread through our county as we serve.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for the Homeless. Please be in prayer for the all homeless in our area. Thank God for the new and innovative ways Valpo is reaching out and meeting the needs of the homeless. Last winter, the churches of Valpo provided nightly shelter and meals for the homeless. A day program is in the works as well. Pray for them as they prepare these outreaches for this year. Pray for the homeless that God would bring immediate relief, shelter, food and health care for them. Pray that Christ will restore hope for the future. May they be surrounded with wise counselors and trustworthy friends. Pray for protection from the risks of life on the streets. Pray also for employment, housing and restored families.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Salvation Army
Please pray for God's blessing & leading for the Salvation Army. Thank God for their pastors, Major Jonathon & Kim Welch. Not only do they have the church ministries, they also are providing assistance to many families through food and other practical outreaches. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. Pray for them as they reach out and serve in Jesus name. Praise God for placing them in our community.

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for Agricultural Workers. Please be in prayer for all the farmers and agricultural workers in our area. May God grant great abundance for their labors. May they follow Christ and find ways to be part of life-giving churches. Pray for their families to stay close during upcoming harvest season. Pray for safety as they work. May they know the Lord of the harvest and be faithful laborers for Him.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: First Presbyterian Church
Please pray for God's blessing & leading for First Presbyterian Church. Thank God for their pastor, Tim Reyna. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. They are very active in community ministry, offering a Bible study at Fountainview Nursing Home. Pray for them as they reach out and serve in Jesus name. Praise God for placing them in our community. May they be a light for Christ in this community!

Here is what's happening this week....
HOPE for Portage, A House of Prayerful Expectation

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for Portage Adult Education. Please be in prayer for this important resource to the people of Portage and beyond! What an opportunity they have to meet practical needs of people throughout Northwest Indiana through education. Please be praying for their new director, Frank Vernalis. Pray for quick adjustments for all the teachers, staff and administrators. Pray for wisdom for all! Pray that the funding issues would be resolved and they would be able to continue to provide education to many. They do have an opening for a teacher's aide for their toddler room. Pray that God would bring the right person to fill it. Thank God for those that are called to serve at Portage Adult Ed. May God grant them strength for each day! Thank God for those that desire to complete or continue their education. May God grant them steadfastness in their studies.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: First Baptist Church of South Haven
Please pray for God's blessing & leading for First Baptist Church. Thank God for their pastor, Ron Cox. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. Praise God for placing them in our community. May they be a light for Christ in this community!
3. Pray for those serving in short-term missions from our community.

4. Praise God for His work in children's lives at HOPE's Kids Summer Spectacular: We completed our 2008 Kids Summer Spectacular. We praise God for how He moved in the children's lives. On our final week, 2 children prayed to receive Christ. They have been plugged in with a local congregation and we are believing God to do amazing work in all of the childrens' lives. We thank God for every teen and adult who assisted this year. And we praise God for bringing in the money needed to provide a viola for an orphanage in Romania. Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:
1. Pray for Pastors . Thank God for the amazing pastors in our area. Pray thaty they will be filled with wisdom. May they be honored by those they serve. Pray that God will pour His Spirit upon them in power and humility, giving fresh intimacy with Jesus. Pray that their time with the Lord and their families would be protected and preserved. Pray that deep friendships and unity would grow between the pastors in our region.
2. Church/Ministry of the Week: Bible Baptist Church
Please pray for God's blessing & leading for Bible Baptist Church. Thank God for their pastor, Don Goode. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. Praise God for placing them in our community. May they be a light for Christ in this community!

Please pray for God's blessing & leading for Ogden Dunes Community Church. Thank God for their pastor, Robert Leach. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. They are the only church in Ogden Dunes area. Praise God for placing them in our community. May they be a light for Christ in this community!

Ways to Pray & Praise this Week for our Community:

1.Pray for the poor in our Area. Pray that God would meet the spiritual and physical needs of the poor in our community with dignity and hope. Pray for ministries that are doing this: Portage Food Pantry, Gabriels Horn, St. Vincent de Paul, First Contact, Angel Food. Pray for any cycles of oppression to be broken. Pray for employment that would meet their needs. Thank God for how He has provided for them and for your family as well. (I John 3:17)

2.Church/Ministry of the Week: Church of God of Prophecy
Please pray for God’s blessing & leading for theChurch of God of Prophecy. Thank God for their pastor, Dannie Tackett. Pray that they would be an effective witness for Christ in this community. Salvations were reported through Campus Life JV camp and ministry at Porter County JDC. Keep sending us your reports of salvation. God is moving! 154 is the number of known salvations reported so far for2008 in our community. We praise God for each one who has begun their walk of faith in Christ! Pray that they would be rooted and grounded in the faith. Let’s plunder hell and populate heaven!
